Welcome to Embrace the Sun, a Egwene Al'Vere fansite and the only fanlisting approved by The Fanlistings Network. The name comes from a phrase used several times in the Wheel of Time series, "It is better to embrace the sun than to anger an Aes Sedai."

Egwene al'Vere
A seemingly simple girl from Emond's Field in Two Rivers, Egwene was born with the spark, meaning she would eventually learn to channel whether she was taken to the White Tower or not, and quite strong in the Power. Discovered by Moiraine when she came in search of the Dragon Reborn, Egwene becomes the Amrylin Seat before many young women could even test for Accepted. As Amrylin, she quickly develops a reputation of being quite tough. She loves Gawyn Trakand and hopes to bond him, though that has not yet occured in the books that have been published.
Fanlistings
A fanlisting is a site that maintains a list of fans, from all over the world, of a specific subject. While the goal is, in part, to have the largest list possible for that subject, it is also a fun way for both fanlisting owner and member to display their love of the subject -- in this case Egwene al'Vere of the Wheel of Time series.
To join a fanlisting, all that is required is a name, country, and if the owner chooses to require it (as I do), a valid email address. Members with sites of their own are free to list the urls as well, and it is considered polite for them to also post a link on their site, either text or image, to the fanlisting they have joined.
